Million Dollar Fizzers
Consider for a moment the movies that have had millions of dollars invested and thousands of hours invested only to bomb at the box office.
There's hundreds of them that have never turned a profit after massive action by people in the industry - in the know.
Even with all the best research from the best brains and talents in the business - shit happens.
And so it does online too.
Yes - stuff bombs.
Stuff that has all the ingredients for success sometimes just bombs.
It's possible in many cases that with more work, more time, more money and a slight change in direction that things can be turned around but sometimes it's just put down to experience.
The good thing about marketing online is... it's ALL small stuff - even the big stuff is just small stuff.
If you've created a site and it sucks - call it experience.
Some of the best learning is from failures.
Some of the best opportunities come from things that went wrong.
I just looked at an online business of a friend that should have, by all accounts, been a big money spinner.
Instead it's only making a few hundred a week.
With some more digging, there will be an answer but it's simply not worth the time and effort... shit happens sometimes and he's already moved on to the next project.
A similar plan but this time with slightly different targeting.
He's applied one of the most important aspects of making money online - GET STUFF ONLINE!
He has a great attitude - rough enough is good enough and while I like to have things better than 'rough enough' the reality is... 'rough enough' will always make more money than 'not yet online'
Don't fart around with fancy graphics and templates if it's going to stop you getting out there to the market.
A Trabant will still get you further down the road than a Porsche without wheels.
You might not get a long way down the road but you will get somewhere and that somewhere might lead you to another opportunity that you wouldn't have seen, heard about, or had the chance to benefit from if you didn't get something (anything) happening.
Whatever you're doing right now - make sure you hit that publish button before you put your computer to sleep for the day/night.
You can always give it some polish in the morning.
Be Careful Who You Listen To
Let me start by saying, as I've said MANY times before, that there are MANY ways to make money online and even some of my business partners do stuff in different ways to me yet still make a big income.
No one knows it all and never will.
And part of that last statement also means that just because one person has done something that has worked for a while certainly doesn't give them any authority to say something else doesn't work and their way is the only way.
So why this post?
When I first released Niche Money Makers one marketer was adamant the training wouldn't work... even though it had already generated 6 figure incomes and continues to do so - and will continue to continue to do so 
What is relevant is to 'be careful who you listen to'
If stuff works for a short time - then you have a short time opportunity.
If it works on and off for short times you don't have consistency and without consistency you don't have financial planning, financial security, stability, freedom etc... and essentially you have a JOB not a business.
People who got the Niche Money Makers training have been killing it with commissions and emailing me all the time with their success... excited that they got something to work.
....as if I didn't know
WHY: Because it is a Safe BUSINESS plan and safe business plans don't fall down around you overnight.
Here's the deal - Google can and will change anything they like at any time but there is one thing that they have been CONSISTENT with ALL these Years... they want to deliver a good user experience to people searching the links in their listings... their search engine results.
The best way to give people a good user experience is to inform, help, advise, entertain... you know - the stuff that you would expect to find when you're looking for something.
Now here's the BIG problem... even when you offer people a quality experience, there's always someone who can come along and offer a 'shinier egg - a more golden, golden egg'
There will also always be more eggs getting added to the basket all the time and Google (and the other search engines) need to sort these eggs as best as they can.
Occasionally they will drop the basket and break some eggs and they could be yours.
If you only have a few eggs in the basket - you're toast... this is starting to sound like a breakfast menu, and to some extent you could end up with a dogs breakfast instead of an income.
Niche Money Makers gives you a lot of profitable eggs on many different tables and that is a recipe for success.

Anyway - back on track... While Niche Money Makers gives you the chance to make a lot more money a lot more easily it is also a lot safer business model.
It's not high profile stuff that is always in Google's targets... you know the stuff - like Acai Berry and the 'spammy' affiliate offers.
As an added bonus - the commissions are also a whole lot BIGGER, the competition is a whole lot LESS, the Ranking is a whole lot easier... and so much more, but I'm sure (if you've got NMM) you know all this and this post is not about promoting NMM but about helping you to understand how successful BUSINESS people create real BUSINESSES online.
Financial Security, Consistency, Value, Planning, Optimization of time and more... these are words that come into play when creating a BUSINESS rather than a JOB.
If you put all your eggs in one (or a few baskets) expect some breakages - that's life.
If there's a lot of people wanting a piece of the pie - expect some changes - that's life.
If there's opportunities to profit more easily and more consistently - that's good business.

Lateral Thinking
Some of our best business breakthroughs have been the direct result of lateral thinking.
Recently we've been documenting, in the form of a number of training videos that will be available soon, a method that one marketer uses to make an AMAZING income from people who steal stuff.

You will struggle to remain happy if you always mix with people who are unhappy, or negative, or jealous.
Those you associate with can will affect your life - there's no doubt about that.
If there are negative influences in your life, try to get rid of them.
If you can't - then be aware of how they can destroy your potential, your dreams and the quality of your time here on earth.
You always have the ability to make changes... even if they are only small changes that help you to steer in a better direction.
Get good people on your side.
Let your husband, wife, partner get involved in your business and see what value they can add for the both of you.
Listen to all the help and advice you can get and then use your brains to make informed choices of your own.
There's a lot of 'noise' in the world and unfortunately most 'noise' (the loudest noise) comes from the empty vessels.
It's a lot easier to drag people down than drag people up.

Fart Lick
When I was younger and did a lot of long distance running training I would do fart lick training or as I've since found out fartlek which is apparently a Swedish term that means speed play.
It is high intensity interval training.
Basically - what I would do is, during the course of a long run, I would run almost at sprinting speed for a set distance or for a set time and then revert back to the normal pace for a while and then once again do another burst of speed training.
These were to increase oxygen volume in the lungs and build up stamina and speed.
It was very intense and certainly not something that was pleasant in any way whatsoever BUT it Worked!
It made me faster and fitter than those who weren't doing it.
Now here's the whole point of this post because it has nothing to do with my fitness and everything to do with your Internet Marketing success.
This morning my wife and I went for a long walk/run but I was a little jaded after working through to 2am on a project for one of my other markets.
So we got up early, the sun was out and we started our walk with the intention of running part of the way.
Someone else was also there a hundred meters or so ahead of us and of course (both of us being competitive) the race was one.
The trouble is - she was jogging and we only intended to walk with the occasional run.
So we walked a little faster than normal and jogged a little more than planned.
The other person was jogging at the same steady and relatively slow pace the whole way.
We were doing extremely low intensity (and I mean EXTREMELY LOW) fartlek exercise... walk a little and then run a little.
We'd catch up and then drop back.
Catch up again and then drop back.
This girl was actually quite slow but she was consistently doing the same speed the whole distance just normal steady jogging.
She stayed ahead of us right to the end and we both commented on how well she did and how she managed to keep her distance even though she was going quite slow.
The difference between the walking speed and the running speed made all the difference.
Internet Market is all about consistently doing the same basic stuff that results in progress.
Too many people will go like a bull at a gate and then run out of steam.
It's better to do the right stuff in smaller volume and consistently continue to do that every day, all the while building up the business.
At least one video of mine gets uploaded to YouTube every day.
And I'm not talking about the stuff that I do for you guys - I get one niche video uploaded every day.
Sometimes I will see results super fast - like in minutes/hours.
Sometimes I will see results in days and other times it might take months.
There are so many different factors that I know they will all offer varying potential for my businesses, but I do know that almost all of them will add to the bottom line - MY INCOME.
Yes I live the Internet Lifestyle and the reality of that is: I work online, quite a lot of the time, but I do get to work when I like and not work when I don't feel like working.
I don't go out to work and I don't have a watch... (actually I do have a nice watch but haven't worn it in years)
It's common for me to not know what day of the week it is because it doesn't make any difference.
The only way we do know is because a lot of our friends are only available on certain days (they call the weekend)
BUT: I do do consistent stuff each day such as the videos and certain other aspects of my businesses that need attending to because I know that the failure to be consistent will ultimately be an expense far greater than the cost of taking action.
Think about it... and have a great day.
Two Things I Use Every Day
There's two things I couldn't imagine being without in my online business these days.
1 - Screenflow... and
2 - Keynote
Sometimes before I've even had a coffee in the morning I've created and uploaded directly from the software into YouTube a video that will build one of my businesses in one way or another.
I've just uploaded one as I write this blog post for a Niche Money Makers site and later I will embed that video on the blog that I will create in minutes.
Those two resources are for the Mac so if you've got a PC you should be using...
1 - Powerpoint or OpenOffice Impress (free) and
2 - Camtasia
Either sets for Mac or PC will give you some of the most powerful marketing tools you will ever need.
I'm not sure what the costs of them are now - I think I paid $99 for Screenflow which has (at this stage) less options than Camtasia but I prefer it by a long way because it does what I need very easily and doesn't do anything I won't have a use for.
Keynote is faster and easier than Powerpoint but they both do the same job at the end of the day and that is to help you get videos online quickly, easily and with no technical experience.
Get them once and profit forever.
For some people it might seem like an investment they can't afford - for me it is an investment I couldn't afford to be without
People ask me what I do and what I use - there's two of the MAJOR parts of my money-making toolbox.
Shorten Links and Check Stats
It only takes a few seconds to shorten and hide your affiliate links with Google free online URL Shortener.
We don't always shorten links because often we want people to know that if they buy through our link they will be a bonus and that helps to make more sales but there are still lots of occasions where we need to shorten links - often just to have a smaller link to put somewhere.
There are many free services online and some of those have closed over the years.
This one from Google is what we use now - as it's Google's you know it works well and will be available for the long term.
You can also check the stats really easily once you've created the link.

The slide show with the music was played and a video of it was captured using Screenflow.
That was saved into Amazon S3 and then linked to from the $47k blog
If you have a PC Powerpoint and Camtasia will do the same job with the audio of your choice.
